Scholarships

Every year, the DC Aggies Club funds scholarships annually through contributions, membership dues, and fundraisers. Our scholarship program is an incredible centerpiece of what the Club provides to the community and our support of Texas A&M University. Each year, we support a distinguished young individual who is committed to attending Texas A&M and representing the best and brightest from the Washington, D.C. area through financial scholarships.

The Annual National Capital Texas A&M Club Scholarship Program

As part of our core mission to support local Aggies and promote Texas A&M University in our nation’s capital, each year the National Capital Texas A&M Club (NCTAMC) offers a scholarship to a deserving local student who has chosen to study at Texas A&M University.

In continuing that tradition, we are pleased to announce that the application for the 2024 National Capital Texas A&M Club Scholarship is now open. While award amounts vary from year to year, in previous years scholarship recipients have been awarded approximately $1,000 for their studies.

This scholarship opportunity is not limited to the children of former students. Any student from the National Capital Region attending Texas A&M University-College Station or Galveston campuses is eligible. If you know of any local students planning on or thinking of attending Texas A&M University, we encourage you to share this information with them.

The rules and requirements for receiving the scholarship are as follows:

  • Applicants must be a resident of Washington, D.C. or the National Capital Region.
  • Applicants may be current students of Texas A&M University from Washington, D.C. or the National Capital Region OR those who have been accepted for studies in graduate or undergraduate course work at Texas A&M University at the College Station or Galveston campuses.

  • Previous recipients of the National Capital Texas A&M Club Scholarship may reapply.
