WHY DID YOU ATTEND COLLEGE? WHY Texas A&M University?
"I knew in high school that I wanted to be a veterinarian and college was something I always saw as the best path forward for me. My mom, dad, friends, cousins, and other family members had all gone to A&M, so I had been introduced to Aggieland from a young age. In reality, there was no other school even close in my mind, as Texas A&M offered everything I wanted from a college experience: the Corps of Cadets, a vibrant & active student body, friends to make from every walk of life...A&M was a perfect fit in every way."
HOW DID COLLEGE PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR CAREER?
"There is no doubt in my mind that the many years I spent at Texas A&M are what got me to where I'm at today. The foundation of scientific knowledge I gained as an Animal Science major in undergrad, the lessons in leadership taught to me in the Corps of Cadets, the management skills I gained at Mays Business School, and the in-depth knowledge from my years at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences all combined to give me a very broad skill set that makes me very productive in my job and attractive to employers."
WAS THE INVESTMENT IN YOUR EDUCATION WORTH IT? WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN?
"Without a doubt it was a worthwhile investment. I spent ten years in school (all at TAMU) and went through plenty of hard times in terms of what I had to put into it mentally, emotionally, and financially; but what I've received back has been worth so much more. Looking back, college was when I really found my strengths and learned to use them to benefit myself and others. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat."
